Old Cabinet becomes new Cabinet


Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has formed his new Cabinet and received approval from the Emir, Amir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.

The new Cabinet line-up as published in the Arab Times is as follows:

Sheikh Ahmad Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah First Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior
Sheikh Ahmad Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs
Anas Khalid Al-Saleh Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State
for Housing Affairs
Jamal Ahmad Al-Shihab Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs
Salem Mutheeb Al-Utheina Minister of Communications and acting Minister
of Social Affairs and Labor
Dr Rola Abdullah Dashti Minister of Planning and Development and Minister
of State for National Assembly Affairs
Dr Ali Saad Al-Obeidi Minister of Health
Abdulaziz Abdulatif Al-Ibrahim Minister of Electricity and Water and Minister of State
for Municipal Affairs

The new Cabinet is expected to recommend the dissolution of parliament and the calling of fresh elections. The Cabinet is largely the same as the one that resigned on 25th June after four months in office.
