President Abdelaziz Bouteflika kick starts Cabinet with reshuffle

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika carried out a wide ranging reshuffle of his Cabinet yesterday, placing close associates into key positions. Earlier this year the president spent 80 days in Paris recovering from a stroke. Since then there has been speculation about his future plans and a possible successor, all of which has led to a policy paralysis within government. It is expected that this reshuffle will kick start government activity once more.
