President appoints new Foreign and Culture Secretaries

President Enrique Peña Nieto has appointed Luis Videgaray Caso as his new Secretary of Foreign Affairs. Videgaray had resigned as Finance Minister after arranging talks between Donald Trump and the president in September last year. He replaces Claudia Ruiz Massieu who stood down from the post.

The president has also appointed a new Minister of Culture, María Cristina García Cepeda (70). She replaces Rafael Tovar y de Teresa who died suddenly in December last year.
