President appoints new VP

President Ernest Bai Koroma has appointed Victor Bockarie Foh, Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to China as his new Vice-President.

Victor Foh (68) comes from Bo, in Sierra Leone’s Southern Province and is reported to have been educated at Fourah Bay College, graduating in 1969. He started his career as a teacher in Economics and Government before becoming an Assistant District Officer and then District Officer between 1970 and 1982. He joined the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) in 1970 and was elected as its Secretary-General in 2002. In 2012 he was appointed Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
