President Dilma Rousseff makes minor reshuffle

President Dilma Rousseff announced a small reshuffle to her Cabinet yesterday.

Chief of Staff, Gleisi Hoffmann and Health Minister Alexandre Padilha were removed from office both of whom are expected to run for governor positions in October’s elections.

The new Chief of Staff will be former Minister of Education, Aloizio Mercadante.

The new Minister of Health is Dr. Arthur Chioro.

The new Minister of Education minister is José Henrique Paim Fernandes.

The new ministers will take up their portfolios on Monday afternoon.
