President makes changes to Cabinet

President Omer Hassan al-Bashir has made a number of changes to his Cabinet, sacking several ministers and streamlining ministries with two mergers and the dropping of one ministry.

The changes announced in the newspaper Sudan Vision are as follows:

Cabinet:
Dr. Ahmed Bilal Osman Minister of Culture and Information (Merger of two ministries)
Osama Abdullah Minister of Water Resources and Electricity (Merger of two ministries)
Ghazi Al Sadiq Minister of Guidance and Endowments
Ms. Ishraqa Sayed Mahmoud Minister of Human Resources Development and Labour
Dr. Essa Basheri Minister of Sciences and Communications
Mohamed Abdul Karim Al-Hud Minister of Tourism, Antiquities and Wildlife
Ministers of State:
Dr. Farah Mustafa State Minister at the Presidency
Mustafa Tayrab State Minister at the Ministry of Culture and Information
Abdul Wahib Yousuf Minister of State at the Ministry of Industry
Faisal Hammad State Minister at the Ministry of Oil
Dr. Tabitha Boutros State Minister at the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity
Siraj Ali Hamid State Minister at the Ministry of Mining
Adam Abdallah Al-Nur State Minister at the Ministry of Education
