President makes new appointments

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono replaced two of his ministers who had died recently and replaced two other key officials yesterday.

Nafsiah Mboi was appointed as the new Minister of Health, she replaces Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih, who died of cancer last month.

Rudi Rubiandini has become the new Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). He replaces Widjajono Partowidagdo who died of a suspected heart attack in April.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Chatib Basri has become the Head of Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), and Hendarman Supanji has been appointed Head of National Land Agency (BPN).
