President nominates four new Cabinet Ministers

A number of newspapers are reporting that President Hamid Karzai has nominated four changes to his Cabinet which will now go to Parliament for approval.

The four changes mentioned are:

Bismillah Mohammadi; Minister of Defence
Mushtaba Patang; Minister of the Interior
Assadullah Khalid; Head of the National Directorate of Security
Azizullah Din Mohammad; Minister of Border and Tribal Affairs.

We have been unable to confirm these appointments from the president’s website and it is possible that further changes may be made in the next few days.
