President replaces departing ministers

Published

President Laura Chinchilla has made three changes to her Cabinet as a result of resignations. Two ministers have left for personal or family reasons. We do not know the reason for the departure of the third minister.

The new ministers are:

Guido Monge; Minister of Housing

Olman Segura; Minister of Labour

Pedro Castro; Minister of Public Works and Transport

The president of the Women’s National Institute, Maureen Clarke was also made a Cabinet Minister to help the president with her work on ‘gender justness’.
