President sacks Finance Minister

Published

President François Bozizé has sacked his Finance Minister, Sylvain Ndoutingai. There has been no explanation for the move which has come as a surprise. One newspaper is reporting that former finance minister Albert Besse is to replace Ndoutingai.

Sylvain Ndoutingai is a nephew of the president, was his campaign manager in last year’s presidential election and had been mining minister before his appointment to finance last year.
