Romāns Naudiņš is new Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development

Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma (Unity) has proposed and parliament has agreed the appointment of Romāns Naudiņš as the new Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development. He replaces Einārs Cilinskis.

Romāns Naudiņš (33) was educated at Valmiera Viesturs High School, Selma Police Institute in Germany and the Latvian Police Academy. Before entering politics he was a State police investigator and then a businessman. He was elected to parliament in 2011 and is a member of the right-wing National Alliance (All For Latvia!” – “For Fatherland and Freedom/LNNK).
