Samaras government loses a third minister

Published

The government of Prime Minister Antonis Samaras lost another minister yesterday just a day after the minister had voted for the government in a motion of confidence.

Deputy Labour Minister Nikos Nikolopoulos resigned his post stating that he did not believe the government was being aggressive enough in seeking changes to the EU/IMF bailout.

The minister was quickly replaced by another New Democracy member, Nikos Panagiotopoulos, a lawyer with a postgraduate degree in economics and international elections who has been an MP since 2007.
