Published

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has appointed Sirpa Paatero as the new Minister for International Development. She replaces Pekka Haavisto of the Greens.

The International Development portfolio came free when the Greens withdrew from the government earlier this week. Whilst the National Coalition Party (Kokoomus) took the Environment portfolio, it was agreed that the Social Democratic Party (SDP) would make the appointment to the position of Minister for International Development.
