Stanislav Anastasov is new Minister of Environment and Water

Stanislav Anastasov has been sworn in as the new Minister of Environment and Water. He replaces Iskra Mihaylova who is to become a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS).

Anastasov (31) also comes from the DPS but his tenure is likely to be short lived because a general election is expected to be called within the next few weeks.

Two other Members of the National Assembly will also be leaving to become MEPs, Tomislav Donchev and Emil Radev both from the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB).
