Supply Minister goes over missing wheat

Khaled Hanafi, Egypt’s Minister of Supply and Internal Trade resigned yesterday after criticism from MPs. The resignation comes after around 200,000 tonnes of wheat was found to be missing from ten distribution centres as well as revelations that he has been living in a five star hotel in Cairo for the past two years. He has been temporarily replaced by Minister of Trade Tarek Qabil.
