Temporary changes in ministerial line-up

Published

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has announced that she will not reshuffle her Cabinet following the resignation of Yongyuth Wichaidit, preferring her ministers to concentrate on current issues, including the imminent arrival of a tropical storm. Instead she has temporarily delegated Yongyuth’s responsibilities as Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung, who is responsible for the Interior Ministry including the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre, and Deputy Interior Minister Chuchart Harnsawat have been assigned to take on the responsibilities of the interior minister in an acting capacity. Deputy Prime Minister Kittirat Na Ranong will now supervise the Transport Ministry and Deputy Prime Minister Yutthasak Sasiprapha will supervise the National Office of Buddhism and the Social Development and Human Security Ministry.
