Three new Ministers

Published

Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen has made three changes to his Cabinet.

Soeren Pind is to be the new Minister for Refugees, Immigrants & Integration whilst retaining his existing role as Minister for Development Cooperation.

The new Minister for Education is Troels Lund Poulsen following the resignation of the previous minister.

Peter Christensen becomes the new Minister for Taxation.

The immigration role is especially important because the government is currently in coalition with the Danish People’s Party which holds strong views on immigration.  Equally, immigration is likely to be a major issue in the parliamentary elections due in November this year.
