Transport Minister walks

President John Mahama has accepted the resignation of Minister for Transport Mrs. Dzifa Aku Attivor.

The minister’s resignation came after he ministry reportedly overspent more than $900,000 on the respray and branding of 116 buses to be used across the country’s major cities. The move comes after the government has set itself the task of cutting public expenditure as part of a three year programme agreed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
